The Galaxy S25 Edge can record Log videos with its selfie camera, other phones to be updated too

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series launched with Log mode for videos, a feature that was backported to the Galaxy S24 series with the One UI 7 update. Log videos can be recorded with all the rear cameras, but not the selfie camera – not yet, anyway.
Now with One UI 8 on the way, there is evidence that the Galaxy S25 models will have Log support for Video and Pro Video modes when recording with the selfie camera for several older models. You can see the toggle in these screenshots that were shared by @DevOfIpos:

In the second screenshot you can see that the False Color (and presumably Zebra Pattern) exposure monitor toggle is available to help you identify over/under-exposed areas in the frame.
Log videos aren’t intended for direct consumption, you have to do color correction first – you can do that manually or you can let the Gallery app do it automatically (using the Edit suggestion feature).
Note that these screenshots were taken on the new Galaxy S25 Edge, which will be released at the end of this month. The phone will come with One UI 7 out of the box, which suggests that the other S25 models could get it as part of a v7 update. This could happen as soon as next month, according to @DevOfIpos. That may not be the case for all eligible phones, however, so they may be in for a longer wait.

The Log mode for the selfie camera is apparently also coming to the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, based on early One UI 8 builds. It’s not clear whether this feature will be added to the older Galaxy S24 series or not, though.
